Just a quick news flash to let you all know about some of the new and exciting programs and products available for 2008. There's more to come, but we wanted to give you a taste as summer sets in.
We are excited to be adding a few new programs this year, as well as bringing back some old ones. Here's a quick rundown:
"Fish List" Gift Registry
Every year as Father's Day, the holidays or the many birthdays we help make so perfect with the right gift approach, we are enlisted to solve the never ending dilemma of what to get that special angler in your life. While we have grown quite adept at picking out the general items that anglers always need, we do occasionally miss the mark.
So Trapper and I were on www.bedbathandbeyond.com the other day looking at duvet covers and got inspired. We all have enough ties in our closets, so Cutthroat Anglers is proud to announce that our "Fish List" Gift Registry has been launched.
Stop by the shop to fill out your wish (fish) list. We'll keep it on file for your loved ones who tune out your incessant fish talk, and you'll get exactly what you want come gift time.
Live in Tuscaloosa, Alabama? Gnaw Bone, Indiana? No problem. We're more than happy to help you with your registry or take your order by phone, fax, or email and ship anywhere in the states.
Frequent Flyer Card
Lose your Frontier Miles? Sorry if I hit a sore spot, but here's the good news... Cutthroat Anglers is launching our own Frequent Flyer program for '08. Pick up a card next time you stop in to buy a dozen trout flies and get your first stamp. After a dozen stamps, get a dozen trout flies, FREE. You might have to read this a dozen times, but trust me- it's a great deal!
Return of the Free Casting Clinic
This year, we will be hosting free casting clinics Monday and Wednesday evenings at 6:00 June 14- September 1. To kick it all off, we will be hosting free clinics from 9:00 am to 5:00 PM on Sat, June 14, which just happens to coencide with Father's Day weekend. Our guide staff is happy to work with those new to the sport or tune-ups with experienced casters. For our normally schedulled clinics on Monday and Wednesday evening please call for reservations as space is limited but, for the June 14th event, come on down anytime. Can't beat the price!
We're always on the lookout for the latest and greatest gear, and have some great new products coming in this year.
Scott Rods
Although we have always been die hard G Loomis and Sage fans, we have recently decided that Scott Fly Rods would be the perfect compliment to our selection of fine Western and saltwater fly rods. Scott is a Colorado company established in the mid-70's. They have since gained a strong following both here in Colorado and nationwide. We are excited to have the opportunity to carry these innovative, locally made fly rods.
Oakley Sunglasses
If you haven't heard of Oakley Sunglasses, you're probably living in a cave. If you live in a cave, you're probably not eligible for Internet service and therefore, aren't getting this email. Moving on....
What you might not have known, is has Oakley has come out with a series of high quality polarized lenses, that are excellent for fishing, as well as any of your other favorite outdoor activities. Coupled with stylish frames, these glasses are certainly worth checking out.
Flies, Accessories, and Other Fun Stuff...
Once again, we have gone out with the old and in with the new with our 2008 fly selection. We have cherry picked our favorite patterns from top manufacturers and are really amped about this year's selection. We've also brought in a number of other incidentals including an expanded Fishpond lineup, Sharkskin lines, new rods from G Loomis, the ever-popular Thing-A-MaBoober, and more!
Our website continues to grow and change. We're always looking for new content and new pictures. If you have a picture you would like to add to our photo gallery, please send us a high-res copy. We can't promise to post everyone's picture(s), but we will do our best!
We also encourage you to give us any feedback you have regarding our newsletter and/or our new website. We want to do the best we can to provide the information you need, so feel free to send your feedback to chris@fishcolorado.com. I look forward to hearing from you!
Tight Lines,
