Happy Belated Labor Day! Sorry for the delay in sending out this week's issue, but it was a holiday. There is a buzz around the shop as Fall continues to creep in. We're starting to see a few leaves change color already; however, I recommend that any leaf enthusiast hold off on a cross-state drive for another couple of weeks.

The start of Fall heralds the beginning of Kokanee season. Snagging below the Highway 9 bridge (near Green Mtn Res) began last week, so beware! We're really not seeing any salmon in the river, but I will keep you posted once the migration begins.

Fishing in general is very good. The lack of crowds is a blessing for the fish. In our opinion, this is a great time of year to call in sick, skip a day of work, and go fish!

A quick note about our fishing reports webpage: Once again our internet editing program has failed! Due to this poor condition we will be unable to update our fishing reports for the indefinite future. Feel free to contact the shop if you have any questions about current river reports!

Reminder: The tunnel will be under construction starting Sept 10th, so plan your travels accordingly. See last week's issue for a schedule of closure times and dates.

Hollywood Trapper

Trapper recently hosted a film crew for a day of fishing on the Blue River. Cutthroat Anglers, Trapper, and the Blue River will be featured on the OLN program, Back Roads with Ron and Raven, sometime in January. Once we learn the exact release date we will let you know.

Trapper guided shop buddy, Paul Hansen (Pablo), and Bill Sherck on stretches of the Blue down river of Silverthorne and below Green Mountain Reservoir. The boys report good fishing and say that the edited version should be of award winning quality. Once again, Trap showed why he is refered to as "One Take Trap."
