The Lower Blue has jumped up to 720 CFS which and remains on the rise. This is pushing the boundaries for safe wading. For all of you folks dying to float, however, this flow is supposedly navigable. Please be aware that we do not guide this stretch of water nor do we float the Jones Ranch on our days off. Therefore, we really aren't the utmost authorities on floating the Lower Blue. We certainly aren't trying to blow off questions about the subject. Honestly, we just don't have good answers.

Many anglers who do float this stretch of river regularly report that large streamers and sculpin patterns such as Woolhead Sculpins, Butt Monkeys, Conehead Madonnas, and Double Bunnies have been quite productive.
