Blue River in Silverthorne - 08/01/07

Guides Rating: Guides Rating of 3 Stars
Streamflow at time of report: 110cfs

The Blue has finally settled down to a typical 100 CFS. Wading is easy at this flow. Hatches have shut off for the most part now that the water has stopped spilling over the top of the dam. In town it's back to midges and shrimp. We're still seeing caddis here and there and a few other sporatic oddballs north of town.

Recommended Flies: In town fish Randy's or Solitude Mysis along with Miracles, JuJuBees, UV Emergers or Black Beautys. North of town try Green Stimmulators, Wilcox Caddis, San Juan Worms, Green Hare's Ears, or Psycho Princes.
