Not much is changing on the Blue. Midges and Shrimp, Midges and Shrimp. I haven't heard of a pattern that's any hotter than the others lately. Use the stuff listed below, and throw an oddball in the mix every once and a while for kicks. Perfect drifts and a stealthy approach is key.
The Blue has finally settled down to a typical 100 CFS. Wading is easy at this flow. Hatches have shut off for the most part now that the water has stopped spilling over the top of the dam. In town it's back to midges and shrimp. We're still seeing caddis here and there and a few other sporatic oddballs north of town.
Also, make sure to have a plan B if you are fishing North of town. The river has been running dirty some days from construction work near the elementary school.
Recommended Flies: In town fish Randy's or Solitude Mysis along with Tony Danzas, Miracles, JuJuBees, Randy's Baetis, Brook's Sprouts, #24 Adams, UV Emergers or Black Beautys
