The Blue in town has had an increase in hatch activity with significant midday midge hatches and more anglers than usual are reporting success. Make sure to have some tiny dries in your arsenal as fish have been rising occasionally. I haven't heard of a pattern that's any hotter than the others lately. Use the stuff listed below, and throw an oddball in the mix every once and a while for kicks. Perfect drifts and a stealthy approach is key.
The Kokanee Salmon are in the river North of Town, and many people are having a blast catching them. The key is to keep walking until you find and sight them. This is the perfect opportunity to dispose of any nymphs that won't catch trout for you and are taking up valuable space in your boxes. Kokanee will generally take about any nymph you present to them on a dead drift- especially the flashy ones.
Recommended Flies: Sands Epoxy Mysis, Randy's Mysis, Solitude Mysis, Miracles, JuJuBees, WD-40's, Johnny Flashes, RS-2's, Randy's Baetis, Brook's Sprouts, #24 Adams, Griffith's Gnats, Miracles, UV Emergers, or Black Beautys.
