I haven't heard of a pattern that's any hotter than the others lately. Use the stuff listed below, and throw an oddball in the mix every once and a while for kicks. Defiantly make sure to have Mysis right now. Perfect drifts and a stealthy approach is key.
Concentrate more on fishing from 10 am to dark. The fishing has been better as the day goes on. In town has been more productive than North of town for most anglers, but a few guys have come in reporting success. If you go North of town, the ice on the river has gotten up to around LG Everest and the fishing access at Pioneer Creek Bridge, so if you can fish above that you will have a better chance. There are public accesses at the Silverthorne waste water treatment plant, The Ponds development, and at the start of the hay fields going north out of Silverthorne.
Recommended Flies: Sands Epoxy Mysis, Randy's Mysis, Solitude Mysis, Miracles, JuJuBees, WD-40's, Johnny Flashes, RS-2's, Randy's Baetis, Miracles, UV Emergers, Black Beauties, Disco Midges, and any other small midge pattern.
