Blue River in Silverthorne - 06/17/08

Guides Rating: Guides Rating of 4 Stars
Streamflow at time of report: 197cfs

The flow coming out of Dillon just dropped to below 200 cfs. This is a great flow to go fish the river at. With lower flows, the water should begin to warm up, and that means more bugs! Keep an eye out for caddis and PMD's starting to hatch above Green Mountain and working their way up closer to Silverthorne in the weeks ahead. All these signs point to the Green Drakes starting in 2-3 weeks....

Through Silverthorne, it will remain a technical tailwater until the hatches reach all the way into Silverthorne. This means back to the midges and mysis.
