Blue River in Silverthorne - 06/28/08

Guides Rating: Guides Rating of 3 Stars
Streamflow at time of report: 249cfs

FILL AND SPILL!!! This is the event every year that causes the Green Drakes to start hatching! The water will be about 15 degrees warmer, and the bugs will really start moving around. Keep an eye out for caddis and PMD's starting to hatch above Green Mountain and working their way up closer to Silverthorne in the weeks ahead. Get ready for the dry flies on the blue!

Through Silverthorne, it will remain a technical tailwater until the hatches reach all the way into Silverthorne. This means back to the midges and mysis.
