There's still quite a bit of water in the Lower Blue which makes wading difficult. You can still fish this section of water at the current flow, but work the edges and don't attempt to cross. With the seasonal decrease in fishing pressure and healthy flows, the Lower Blue should continue to fish well through late fall and winter.
Now that the summer hatches have subsided, bring along an assortment of red midges, BWO nymphs and dries, San Juan Worms, and Golden Stone Nymphs.
