We are closing in on the ideal flow of 600 cfs for the Blue in town! Fill and spill is almost over. If you are one for technical fishing, get ready! Mysis shrimp fishing still continues to be above average.
Signs of the green drake hatch are prevalent. I ran a seine last evening by the damn and picked up several green drake nymphs. Might not be a bad idea to fish a drake nymph and a small baettis pattern off the back right now.
Caddis and PMDs are also hatching in the evening. Fishing a dry/ dropper may produce some fish in the slower pockets and along the edges.
Recommended Nymphs: MYSIS SHRIMP in all flavors, San Juan Worm, green drake nymphs. Non-Beaded PTs and Princes, Barr's PMD emerger, Mercer's poxyback PMD, RS2, Barr's Pure Midge Larva Red, Cream, and Black, Desert Storm Red, Rojo Midge, WD-40/WD-50, JuJu Bee Midge.
Recommended Dries: Stimis, elk hair caddis, high vis Griffith's gnat, size 22 adams
