The water temps are still in the frigid range, however, with proper layering the Blue is actually fishing pretty well. With over 25,000 Rainbows put in last Fall throughout town, the odds of hooking a fish in a snowstorm are substantial.
The best areas to concentrate on are from the Campground up. Some spots are frozen, others are open. It all depends on the weather. March is a good time to keep an eye open on the warmer days for Baetis to show up. The midges are ever present and keep a sharp eye open for sippers.
Nymphing with micro flies is going to be the ticket for the majority of the time. Drop in the shop and the boys will get you the latest hot patterns as Spring approaches.
