Fill and spill is officially over, and the river has settled into the 450 to 500 c.f.s. the past two weeks! This means that we are below Mysis shrimp flows. However, fish will still take the white crustacean at the right time.
We are still waiting on the Drakes...They have been coming off below Green Mountain Reservoir. The hope is that they will make their way up to town. Caddis and PMDs continue to come off in the evening. However, with the recent rain, the hatches are somewhat finicky. Fishing a dry/ dropper may produce some fish in the slower pockets and along the edges.
Recommended Nymphs: RS2s (black and gray), Rojo, BTS Olive, JuJu Baetis, Green Drake Nymphs. Non-Beaded PTs and Princes, Barr's PMD emerger, Mercer's poxyback PMD, Barr's Pure Midge Larva Red, Cream, and Black, Desert Storm Red, WD-40/WD-50, JuJu Bee Midge.
Recommended Dries: Stimulators in all flavors, Elk Hair Caddis, Hi-Vis Griffith's Gnat.
