This is a crazy time of year. Spring Breakers invade the county, so the lift lines are long and slopes are crowded. I can't blame you if you'd rather be inside watching the NCAA Tournament, but isn't that why TIVO was invented? When its warm, this can be a great time of year to fish the Blue. The flow is perfect and this fish are feeding. If it warms up at all you have a good chance of seeing a Midge hatch. The BWOs are coming up soon, so be sure to nymph the bottom with a double nymph rig tied with a mysis shrimp as the lead and a Beatis nymph trailing. You should definitely try to sight fish if you're looking for a big fish. The big ones are little leader shy and definitely will spook if you're throwing an indicator the size of a tennis ball. Keep it tiny and you might just hook into a monster.
The usual suspects for flies. Mainly anything tiny in olive, grey or black. Mysis patterns should be relatively mute and about #18-20.
