Blue River in Silverthorne - 04/03/07

Guides Rating: Guides Rating of 3 Stars
Streamflow at time of report: 113cfs

Things are fair on the Blue in town. The usuals such as Mysis Shrimp, small midges and Baetis nymphs have been taking a fair number of fish.
Be on the lookout for risers on warmer afternoons. Try using a Hi-Vis Parachute Adams followed by a #24 Brooks sprout emerger for the rising fish.

Good reports have been coming in from north of town between Silverthorne and Green Mtn. Reservoir. Popular flies have been Barr's Golden Stones, red San Juan Worms, and red midge larva patterns. The lake fish from Green Mtn. are also staging at the inlet and a good number of fish have been taken there.
