HOT HOT HOT!!!!! Spring fishing on the Arkansas is in our minds some of the best fishing in the West. The Blue Winged Olives are hatching now and that Caddis aren't far off. Blue Winged Olives tend to hatch in greater number on overcast days, so try to plan accordingly. Try Hi-Vis Para Blue winged Olives, Snowshoe Duns, or Comparaduns for rising fish. If they aren't rising, no problem. Nymphing is also outstanding! Hot flies include Chartreuse Copper Johns sizes 16-18, Barr's Graphic Caddis, Soft Hackle Pheasant Tails, Beadhead Barr's Emergers, and Big Bear Baetis. The good fishing on the Ark will continue through late May, and then again in early-mid July. Don't miss it. This is really the place to be right now.
