Look for discolored water but the chance at some good fishing on the Lower Fork. The Crystal River is running hard, so below the confluence there is some color. The flows are slowly dropping, however, and on a day following a cool night and just a little bit of visibility, you may encounter some epic fishing. Best tactics include nymphing large beadheads followed by a zebra midge, BLM or Barr's Emerger. For all of you boaters out there, the river is floatable right now in a hard boat but advanced maneuvering may be required. It's best to know the river if you're going to float it at this flow.
