Phil lives by the primary edict – fish! He was a local painter who managed large paint crews for many of the new condo properties, but during his breaks he would hang out at the shop or fish. Then his buddy bought a drift boat, and Phil fished even more. These cascades of events lead to the staff at our shop being very jealous of Phil. Since he was able to fish more than most of the shop’s employees, we decided to hire him to keep him busy.
“Just want to say what a great time my nine year old son Chris and I had fishing the Blue with Phil. Normally, I wouldn't be able to resist shopping in the outlet mall by the stream. Phil could hardly drag me away from the stream! ”
- Stacy Andreas Kansas City, MO
We think Phil might have painted a few too many non-circulating rooms because he cannot get enough fishing. After guiding as much as possible and fishing every off day, Phil is still not satisfied. His newest passion is sailing Lake Dillon. He is quickly becoming a master of the jib, tacking, and trim.
Each winter, Phil migrates north to follow his fiancé as she finishes Med School. Similar to Colorado Gold Rush, his annual return to the county each Spring creates a propagation in the media that typically results in a large influx of anglers searching for new found angling riches at Phil’s direction.
Phil does deserve credit – he can trout fish in any stream under any condition. Taking advantage of his managerial skills, Phil is a great instructor. His seemingly infinite hours on the river give him an almost unmatched knowledge base of the local fisheries. His patience will calm even the most high-strung client. Besides providing you with a memorable day on the water, Phil can also give you a rough quote for repainting your house.
