Private Water: Bartles High Mtn. Lakes

If clean crisp mountain air, sweeping high-altitude vistas, big sipping trout and stillwater flyfishing in the comfort of a Drift boat motivate you, then Bartles Lakes is the answer. Nestled in the high mountains of South Park, Bartles Lakes is the idyllic setting for some of the most visual flyfishing found anywhere.

Two Diverse Lakes

A series of two large lakes surrounded by small Brookie Ponds, Bartles offers various angling opportunities.

The upper lake has its own unique personality and can often fish entirely different than the lower lake. The upper lake has more depth and often very large trout. Stripping Streamers through the deeper water can result in voracious strikes.

The lower lake can fish almost like a saltwater flat. Spotting cruising fish in the shallow water and placing your dry fly in front of the trout is a very common occurrence.

Fish from the Comfort
of a Drift Boat

The lakes are fished from dry, comfortable Drift boats and shore lunches (or in the boat) will keep your stamina up for landing more fish. This is a truly unique experience for the novice and expert alike.
